We asked owners about the advantages of living here and arranged their replies from A to Z.

Animals welcome. Well at least dogs (of all sizes) and cats too.

Big suites, 1,500 to nearly 2,000 square feet, with plenty of big closets, plus private storage in the basement.

Cars are welcome in our indoor heated garage where you can have them washed too. And your guests can park indoors (when space available). Staffed 24 x 7.

Diversity. We've had multi-dimensional diversity here for decades. Active, informed, civic-minded people. Some with children. Many empty-nesters. Singles, couples. Working, semi-retired and retired. Chances are you'll find friends living here or will soon become friends with some of your new neighbors.

Easy access to shopping, restaurants, entertainment, cultural events and transportation. Buses stop at Shaker Square and there's a Shaker Rapid Transit stop right outside our door.

Freedom from the cares and expenses of maintenance and home repairs. Don't worry about lawn care, snow removal, trash collection and fixing the driveway.  They are covered by the monthly maintenance fee. To pay for major items, like a new boiler or roof, we have a Capital Reserve Fund, started in 1994.

Garden. Enjoy our garden and even have your own garden plot. See our garden.

Heat. Remember those big bills for heating? No more. Our monthly maintenance fee includes heat (and water and sewer too).

In-suite repairs. Is your garbage disposal jammed or a drain clogged? Need a smoke detector installed or a light bulb changed? Our in-house maintenance staff is available at low hourly rates. Most very quick jobs aren't charged at all!

Just a few steps from the elevators because we have only four suites on a floor. No long, depressing apartment hallways at Shaker Towers.

Kitchens are large and bright, with lots of storage. Want to remodel or enlarge your kitchen? Go ahead. Your condominium suite is yours to improve.

Laundry. Each tower has a large laundry room with low cost, modern washers and dryers, even a double-size washer large enough for comforters, etc. Imagine the convenience of doing three loads at once!

Management with our own professional manager who reports to an owner-elected Board of Directors.

Neighborhood. Just a block west of us, Shaker Square is a lively, historic neighborhood with lots of places to dine, shop, or see a movie.

One-floor living. Forget climbing those steps.

Permissions to enter your suite. Working all day but expecting furniture to be delivered or a carpet cleaner to come? Just leave a note with the garage staff.

Quiet suites  Thick construction block separates the suites. You won't hear your next door neighbors here.

Ramps make it easy to enter our lobby and get to the elevators. No steps.

Schools. We're in the Shaker Heights school district. That's a plus for adults too, for we are in Shaker's Library district and its Recreation district, which includes adult education, swimming at Thornton Pool, skating, tennis and Senior Services.

Transportation. Get to downtown, the waterfront or Cleveland Hopkins airport on the Rapid Transit Green Line stop just across the street. Less than ten minutes to University Circle, or 15 minutes to the Cleveland Clinic.

Vacations   We can take them knowing our homes are secure.

Windows  All suites above the first floor have double or triple exposure (see our suite layouts). Our bedrooms, living and dining rooms have cross-ventilation.  Even our kitchens and bathrooms have windows. All the windows are modern, double-pane thermal windows that tilt inside for easy cleaning.

Xpress mail and packages are easy to send and receive. The garage staff is always there to accept them when you're out.
